Attendance Line - 867-8223
The school depends on parents to call Creekside when their child must be absent. If students are ill or will be late, parents need to call the 24 hr automated attendance line at 867-8223
Athletic/Activity Participation
A student who is absent for more than three (3) class periods in a school day may not attend any school-sponsored activity that afternoon or evening (i.e. concerts, athletic events, etc.). An administrator must approve any exceptions.
Homework Requests
If a student is absent for 2 or more days, you may call the office or email the teachers to request that homework assignments be gathered for pick up. Please call or email before 9 a.m. Homework assignments are normally ready for pick up in the office at the attendance desk by 2 p.m. Please do not request assignments for less than 2 days absence.
Early Release
If a child must leave early for an appointment, he/she must bring a note to the office in the morning. At the time of departure, parents/guardians must sign out the child at the office. Parents/guardians should send a note to the school for approval by the office for prearranged absences.
Messages
Messages can only be given to your student during their lunch period or during the last period of the day. Therefore, we ask that changes in transportation be made in advance whenever possible. If a change in transportation must be after school begins, please call the office before 1:00 p.m. Delivery of messages received after 1:00 p.m. cannot be guaranteed.
Truancy
Truancy is defined as missing or leaving class or school without permission. Truancy situations will be handled by a principal.
